Three swimmers represented SVG at the Commonwealth Youth Games held in Trinidad and Tobago August 4th to 11th. The swimmers were Kevern DaSilva, Jamie Joachim and Brandon George.
- Congratulations to Brandon George on breaking his previous SVG age 15 to 16 age group and national open record in the 100 meter Backstroke. Brandon swam a time of 1 minute, 2.47 seconds.
- Congratulations also to Kevern DaSilva on breaking Shne Joachim’s previous national record in the female 50 meter Backstroke in a time of 33.16 seconds (this is also a new record in the girls 15 to 16 age group).
