Dear Swim Friends and Family,
The SVG Swimming Federation National swim team will be competing in the XXXVII CARIFTA 2024 Aquatics Championships which will be held from March 28th to April 7th in Nassau, Bahamas. The CARIFTA team is represented by several of our best and well known swimmers and is led by the Head Coach Kyle Dougan.
Team SVG is departing today to participate in the competition.
This year the championships also feature athletes from 25 countries including Antigua, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, Martinique, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines. A total of 500 athletes are participating in the championships.
Competitors will compete in the following age groups:
- 11-12 Female and Male: Bella Adams, Caghry Williams and Kione Deshong
- 13-14 Female and Male: Etonique Leonard, Tayeah St. Hilaire and Hazen Dabriel
- 15-17 Female and Male: Abigail Deshong, Kevern DaSilva, Kennice Greene, Matthew Ballah, Brandon George and Eltonte Leonard.
- 18 and over – Female and Male
